My “Thread Art” series was created following a recent visit to Morocco. I was inspired by Moroccan artisans’ incorporation of various textures and fabrics, as well as their intricate use of colorful embroidery work in their decor and clothing. My series builds on that as I layered hand embroidered accents over oil on linen paintings creating a multidimensional textured landscape.
