I painted “Brant Point” following a family trip to Nantucket. The lighthouse at Brant Point was the second lighthouse built in the thirteen colonies, and in 1904, the kerosene house (featured in the painting) was built. My family enjoyed sitting on the scenic beach watching the Nantucket harbor traffic- such a lovely spot!
